Saturday C and I had tickets to the Frameline Film Festival (the SF LGBT film fest) to see Fun In Girls Shorts. Which is Frameline's cute title for a bunch of collected dyke focused short films.

C and I debated about whether we should take the car into the Castro and attempt to find parking. C suggested that we park in a garage along Market and then take the F train into the Castro. I agreed, but still thought that parking wouldn't be *that* bad.

As it turned out, we were cutting it a little close time-wise, and so C said, "OK, let's just go to the Castro with the car" and I agreed.

When we approached the Castro, I looked for a little bit and then said to C, "Well, this is the Castro, I bet if we sing a Broadway show tune we'll find a spot."

I then proceeded to burst into a heartfelt spoof of a West Side Story song - "There's a Space for Us."

Not 15 seconds after beginning to sing this song, someone pulls out of a space right in front of us! I kid you not!

We made it to the movie with 5 minutes to spare.

So, if you're ever in the Castro and need a parking space, try singing a Broadway show tune and see what happens.
