The first lesson in flexibility
Well, this is kinda unexpected, but C was shopping this afternoon and called me and said she thought *maybe* her water might have broken.

She made it home and we went to dinner and then C called the OB/GYN office. The on-call doc called back said that she'd meet us at the hospital.

So, off to the hospital we went. We got an ultrasound to determine how much amniotic fluid C might have lost, and apparently, it's not much, but it still looks as if she probably has a "slow leak" said the doc.

If nothing changes, we are supposed to go back to the hospital at 6 pm tonight.

In the meantime we'll be having Thanksgiving here and hopefully getting about 8 hours of sleep tonight.

So, Grommy may be about 3 weeks early and we could have ourselves a Thanksgiving baby! I think this is our first lesson in children often having their own timeline!

*hug*

didn't want to call and wake you, but call when you are awake and let me know if there is anything cooking-ish that i can help with. i can be in alameda pretty quick.

or, you know, anything else.

Oh wow! Good luck, and I hope the delivery goes smoothly (even if it might be unpredictable). Perhaps Grommet will come into the world smelling T-day leftovers, which I'd imagine would be rather comforting. :-)
